EJI Museum Installations

In conjunction the launch of the Lynching in America site, we worked with EJI to adapt the interactive map to a touchscreen installation that was featured in an exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum entitled “Legacy in Lynching: Confronting Racial Terror in America,” where it appeared alongside artists from the museum’s permanent collection.

Once the exhibition opened, EJI tasked us with developing three experiences for a physical installations that would live permanently in The Legacy Museum. I coordinated with our team leads and our partners at EJI to build and test the installations prior to the space being built. Once the opening was scheduled, we worked with their fabricators to remotely install and test the installations in the space. During the opening week, we were on-site in Alabama to ensure the installations were performant and stable.

In addition to these installations, we designed and developed the informational site for EJI’s Museum and Memorial.
