VICELAND I Smoke Weed

We partnered with VICELAND to create a site to serve as a hub for a social campaign for the second season of one of their most successful shows: WEEDIQUETTE. During a heated election season in 2016, VICE felt it was an important opportunity to create social movement to change the conversation around marijuana use in America. The message was clear: I smoke weed, and more people than you might expect smoke weed too.

In just 4 weeks, we designed and developed a site that allowed visitors to publicly announce that they smoke weed, add their photo, tell their story and share their declaration to Twitter and Facebook. A gallery housed all of the submissions, and visitors could also read stories from people profiled in VICELAND’s TV campaign.
